W. Renata Dixon is the President and Sharon Dixon Peay is the Secretary/ Treasurer of Dixon & Company.
The principals focus on quality assessment and control and relationship development. Principals have primary reponsibility for client accounts and calls on the resources available to the company or hires additional staff, as necessary, to meet production commitments.
W. Renata Dixon
W.Renata Dixon graduated from the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT and earned a BS/BA in Accounting from Georgetown University in Washington, DC . Her extensive accounting and financial management career began at Ernst & Young. She continued her training in accounting while working in accounting and collections for 12 years in the insurance industry. She has responsibility for management accounting system development, and expert oversight of all the bookkeeping and accounting functions at Dixon & Company. Key areas of proficiency are in evaluating, auditing and reviewing the financial condition of going concerns, especially not-for-profit entities. She has managed the books of not-for-profit entities at various stages of their growth and development and is considered a reliable resource for not-for-profit accounting and financial management. She is particularly experienced in providing timely and accurate information for not-for-profit boards and executive directors as staff and resource change, diminish or evolve.
Sharon Dixon Peay
Sharon Dixon Peay graduated from Westledge School in Simsbury, CT, received a BA in Economics from Yale University and a Masters’ of Public Administration Program at University of Hartford. She has several years experience in banking, insurance, and state government. Sharon has proven skill in bookkeeping services and helping business owners create financial systems and training business and individuals in financial management. She is an experienced tax preparation professional and an E-file provider with the Internal Revenue Service. Sharon also has considerable skill in financial administration, debt management and investment management as well as data verification, documentation and compliance review. She has a strong customer service orientation and, has alogical and decisive approach to developing and implementing effective financial management tools. Sharon has been a board member for non-for-profit service organizations throughout her career.
Willie Dixon Peay
Willie Dixon Peay is a bookkeeping and accounting professional with experience in several industries including construction, manufacturing, and the arts. He has taken direct responsibility for clients, primarily in civic and community organizations that provide wide range of services. He assists with annual financial and compliance audits, accounts payable, account receivable and general ledger reporting. Willie is also skilled in writing and communications and has participated in developing training materials for Dixon & Company clients. Willie is skilled in internal controls and reconcilliation. Willie has experience with federal tax reporting and payroll management. After pursuing a degree in the ats, Willie is completing a degree in Finance and Management.
Fabio S. Carta
Fabio S. Carta has proven accounting and financial management skills in his financial management career. Fabio graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and was chosen for two internships while at school. He assisted with physical inventory count at Pratt & Whitney and interned at a direct care provider of support services for people with developmental disabilities. Fabio has successfully combined his interest in not for profit organizations with his accounting expertise. While at Dixon & Company, Fabio has taken direct responsibility for clients primarily in conservation and education. He also assists with annual financial and compliance audits, accounts payable, account receivable and general ledger reporting. Fabio is also skilled in fiscal controls and programming processes, as well as financial management reporting for our clients. Fabio has demonstrated proficiency in using several standard financial software programs, including Microsoft and Quickbooks software processes while achieving efficiencies and increasing effectiveness.
Lennon Hite
Dixon & Company’s Executive Administrative Assistant, Lennon Hite, came to us with over 30 years of experience in administration, marketing and consulting. He has exhibited a passion for humanitarian causes that is reflected in his career. Prior to Dixon & Company, Lennon served with both Dunne, Kimmel & Fein LLC and subsequently with The Parisky Group as Program Assistant for the Connecticut HIV Prevention Community Planning Group (now known as the Connecticut HIV Planning Consortium). This group was responsible for the development of the statewide HIV prevention plan. While with Dunne Kimmel & Fein LLC Lennon also served on the statewide Ryan White Planning Council. Lennon’s responsibilities with The Parisky Group also included the administration of the Hartford Action Plan’s ‘Always on Saturday’ and ‘Let’s Talk’ programs. Lennon also served on the Board of Directors of the Central Connecticut Area Health Education Center, Inc. and the Request for Proposal review committees for both the City of Hartford’s Health & Human Services Department and the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. He is currently responsible for the administration of the Greater Hartford Ryan White Part A Planning Council. Lennon is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a B.A. in History.
Brenda Fraser
Brenda Fraser is a financial professional with over 15 years experience in the development, preparation and analysis of financial and statistical reports. Immediately before joining Dixon & Company, Brenda held the title of Chief Accountant – Accounts Payable for the city of Lakeland Florida, where she was responsible for the review and approval of all invoices, the processing and reconciliation of 1099′s, the research and resolution of all discrepancies, and the supervision of the accounts payable staff. Prior to that, Brenda was an Accountant and Accounting Manager with the Connecticut State Treasury for twenty years. She was responsible for monitoring and accounting for all expenditures of the State’s 3 billion dollar Capital Projects fund, the preparation of the State’s 3 billion dollar debt service budget, and the management of the State’s cash flow borrowing program where she used her financial skills to direct the investment of approximately 3 billion dollars of bond proceeds. Brenda also has significant experience in full accrual accounting and the preparation of tax accounting financial and managerial reports. Brenda has a Master’s degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a concentration in finance, a B.S. in Management from Albertus Magnus College, an A.S. in Accounting from Manchester Community Technical College, and a Certificate in Medical Billing & Coding from Florida Technical College.
